Rama As I know

In the upcoming book “Rama, as I know” by Dr. Kislay Panday, the author delves into the profound pain and grief endured by Lord Rama. Despite the unimaginable challenges he faced, Lord Rama’s ability to remain calm and composed is truly remarkable, a side of him that remains untouched and often overlooked.
Lord Rama, considered to be the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, was the eldest son of King Dasharatha. He won the hand of his wife Sita in an archery contest, marking the beginning of their epic journey together. However, Rama’s stepmother Kaikeyi harboured ambitions for her son Bharata to ascend the throne. In order to fulfill her desires, she called in several favours her husband had promised her and forced Dasharatha to exile Rama for fourteen years. Despite being the rightful heir, Rama obediently accepted his fate.
Accompanied by his devoted brother Lakshman and his wife Sita, Rama ventured into the forest. The grief-stricken Dasharatha eventually succumbed to his sorrow and passed away. Rama’s brother Bharata, unwilling to assume the throne in Rama’s absence, pleaded with him to return. However, bound by his word, Rama steadfastly refused, leaving Bharata to rule in his name. During their time in the forest, an evil spirit fell in love with Rama and mounted an attack on him. Yet, with the support of Lakshman, Rama emerged victorious. Desperate for revenge, the spirit sought assistance from Ravana, the most dangerous demon of that time. Ravana, enticed by the idea of kidnapping Sita, plotted to bring her to his island, Lanka.
Upon discovering Sita’s disappearance, Rama was filled with despair. He, along with Lakshman, embarked on a journey to find her. Eventually, with the help of Lord Hanuman, they located Sita’s whereabouts. A colossal bridge was constructed to facilitate the siege of Lanka. After fierce battles, Ravana was defeated, and Sita was rescued. However, this journey and its subsequent events barely scratch the surface of Lord Rama’s extraordinary tale.
